What does a website designer do?2018-05-16T11:50:25-04:00

The website designer (me) will setup your site based on the design we have discussed and will then add your content and navigation.

I will:

  1. Install the Wordrpess application on you web hosting account.
  2. Install your Wordrpess theme.
  3. Install all applicable plugins required for your website.
  4. Create and format the pages of your website.
  5. Add your content to the website.

Review & Edit:
Developing a website is an evolving process. It changes frequently with back and forth communications between the client and the designer. There is a lot of “tweaking” that goes on to make the website both functional and beautiful.

How Much Will A New Website Cost?2018-05-16T11:50:25-04:00

It is difficult to provide an accurate estimate on how long it will take to complete a website without knowing all of the requirements and expectations of the client.

The average website (around 8 pages) generally takes between 15–20 hours to complete. Very basic and simple websites can take as little as 6-8 hours to complete.

The time it takes to develop a website depends on the features, customizations and complexity of the website as well as how many changes you want me to make during the developmental process. It’s not uncommon for the client to ask me to try different colors, layouts and styles on the website for them to look at before deciding on the final format. Naturally, this adds more time to the overall process.

Examples of other features that may add additional time to the development of a website include:

  • Customizing the colors, fonts, formats and layouts of the website outside the limits of the WordPress theme
  • Creating complex forms
  • Developing custom landing pages
  • Adding Ecommerce to the website (The ability to sell and take payments)
  • Resizing, cropping and editing graphic images
  • Developing/adding email capture forms with Mailchimp, Aweber or some other such service
  • If you need assistance with your domain name and hosting account
  • WordPress training for maintaining and updating the website by yourself

Which WordPress Theme Do I Use?2016-09-07T07:27:36-04:00

I suggest using the the Avada WordPress theme.

Avada Theme – #1 Selling Theme of All Time

It is loaded with features and capabilities and will make updating your website by yourself easy after the design is completed.

Why Use WordPress?2016-03-02T13:09:32-04:00

WordPress is the most popular web design platform available. If you look at the job postings in Upwork, it seems that just about everyone wants their websites created with WordPress. It’s easy to use and has all the features that you could want. Also, changes to your website are simple to make and can be made by yourself or anyone you designate. WordPress uses themes to define the look and feel of your website. Free themes are available, but are limited in many ways. For business websites and stunning websites that have that “Wow” factor, most people purchase premium themes (for about $58). I could help you select one of these if you wish.
